Internet Goons

Public de-linking ceremonies are an immature response to something that offends you. Here's mine.

Fark started out as a nice little project by a geek with a penchant for strange links. Cool enough. That's not unlike many bloggers (myself included). What it has turned into, however, is a hangout for every junior high schooler with an Internet connection and a giggly response to pictures of breasts. They tried to ruin Robyn's party, and now they've taken their ignorant stupidity to wPhotoBlog.

Nothing against Drew Curtis. Never talked to the guy. But anyone with uncontrollable minions like that doesn't get a link from my corner cave in the web. Buh-bye, Fark.

UPDATE: Drew Curtis very kindly answered my e-mail regarding this incident and promised that the perpetrators would be investigated. A copy of his reply is in this post. I thanked him and Fark is back on my links list.

Places that get so big, the crowds become uncontrollable after a while (Look at SlashDot, MetaFilter, Worst Of The Web, to name a few.)

Some of these jerks crack me up. I'd love to start a fund where you can send someone to a flamers doorstep to see if the little chickenshit can repeat what they typed to someone's face...

... and their baseball bat. :0)

Amen!! When they start to think they can control us all, a stand needs to be made. It never ceases to amaze me how many idiots think they can impose their moronic ideals on the rest of us by force!! Like E said, come to my doorstep and see what you get jerks!!
