We Need More Pie, Cap'n!

In spite of our raising the Dave Barry Threat Level to Code Orange, the little monster is still climbing up the backs of poor, hard-working bloggers. Sure, Gretchen got a couple more links with her boobie and pie fest, but in the meantime, Barry has zipped past kottke and Kristine. Once he gets by Metafilter and Scriptygoddess, it's Gretchen's turn to be crushed under the boot heel of this maniac! Is there no stopping this madman? Or are we all doomed to making Barry-esque blog entries like this just to survive?

Blogosphere or Blogiverse? Which is it? When I become King of the Blogosphere, my first act will be to change the name of these things. Blogging sounds like something my Aunt Ethel used to do in the bathroom...

Come on, people! What are you waiting for? Dave Barry to mud-wrestle Wil Wheaton for control of the blogonetaspheriverse?

On second thought...

Update, Feb. 18: He's passed Metafilter and Scriptygoddess and is only 24 links behind poor Gretchen. Will nothing stop his ravenous lust for power? If boobies and pie can't do it, God help us all.

I still don't get it. I'm telling you, he's a passing fad who will eventually only be linked to by the hard core barry fans (me) and not as a blog but as a quip of the day! Sure he may reach the top 10, but not for too long! Though the boobies and pie WAS fun! (i got chocolate! mmmm....chocolate...)
And which is it really...blogosphere or blogoverse!?
