Who is the greatest Who?

At the UKTV site, they're promoting next weekend's orgy of Doctor Who episodes by running yet another "Who's the greatest?" contest.

I'm not a big fan of these things, as each actor who has played The Doctor brought something unique to the character. Everyone's got a favorite, and no popularity contest is going to change that. Plus, they're usually heavily biased to the newer Doctors, as they are the ones everyone has seen most recently (not to mention the ones getting the benefit of a real budget).

The cool thing is that they are presenting a video clip of each Doctor for you to watch. The clips seem a little more representative of the show and its strange villains than ones designed to showcase each individual Doctor, but they're still fun.

I agree with you, there can be no "best" Doctor.

That having been said, I'm partial to Tom Baker, as he was the Doctor when I became aware of the series. And the last one, Ecclwhatever, was pretty cool, too.

But they were all fun, so having the voting along with the video clips makes for more chances to look back.

Thank you, comment spammers. Thank you to hell.
