Geek Heaven(s)

It's not enough that I have the Earth, Moon and Mars to explore, now you send me the entire sky! Thanks, Google!

My only problem is that when I search for Vulcan or Tatooine, it doesn't find any results. I thought these maps were a little more complete than that. At least you've got all the fake moon landing sites in the right place. That's a start.

Don't get me wrong-- I loves me some Google stuff, but I'm way more geeked out over Stellarium. I swear to God it's the coolest thing EVER. You can plot the starscape for wherever you are, and see the labels for almost anything in the sky. Constellations for ten different cultures!! With art!! It even changes based on the time and date, by the second. If you have a laptop, you can take it outside as a guide-- it even has red mode so it won't screw up your night vision. Seriously, whoever did it is a frakking genius.

Sorry to get all gushy, I just like it. A LOT.

If you don't see a way to enter a comment, it's not because I don't love you. It's because they have been set to auto-close after 5 days.

Thank you, comment spammers. Thank you to hell.
