Bombers Belaraviel Shire P.O.W.
BAG END - Arweogast Belaraviel from Bag End won his 1st Player of the Week award for putting up the best numbers in the Shire Conference. Belaraviel helped his team with an average of .500 and 6 RBI in 24 at bats. In the April 27 game against Old Forest, Belaraviel was 4-for-5 with 2 homers and 3 RBI.

First Pitcher Wins Mordor Player-of-the-Week
ISENGARD - The Mordor Conference's best player of the week was Isengard's Phaija Eowunduil, who wins the award for the 1st time in his career. He was in a zone all week, compiling an ERA of 0.56 while going 2-0. He hurled a shutout as well. Eowunduil ran his record to 5-0, winning Player-of-the-Game honors in each of his last 4 starts.

Injury News
RIVENDELL - More injury woes for the Cheese as Bree's top middle reliever, Culak Balldrinker (1-1, 4.63 ERA) was injured in the April 25 loss to the Royals at Rivendell. After coming on in the second inning to relieve Gogak Drowslammer (2-3, 5.50), Balldrinker pitched 2.1 scoreless innings before leaving with a sore back. Doctors say it's a herniated disk and that Balldrinker will probably miss the next 6 or 7 weeks.

MORDOR - A crushing blow to the Mimes campaign came in their April 25 game against the Gondor Condors. Tavoja Legindil (.337, 8 HR, 29 RBI), Mordor's starting first baseman and Player of the Week two weeks ago, pulled a calf muscle and will miss the next 4 weeks of the season. Legindil, who was getting a night off, pinch hit for first baseman Arthur Seely in the bottom of the 8th inning. With one runner on Legindil tripled to the gap in right-center, scoring Gorauden Geomli, but pulling into third lame. Legindil's pinch runner, Eoden Elrilmer, tied the game when he scored on a Gwudriel Greagrin pinch-hit single, but eventually Gondor came out on top in the 12th inning.

GREY HAVENS - Sadish Koboldbasher (2-1, 3.07 ERA), Dol Guldur's number four starter, looks to be out for the season. In a game against the Stars on April 25, the Dragons hurler tore a ligament in his elbow, ending his year. Koboldbasher, Dol Guldur's 18th-round draft choice, is signed through the 2005 season and hopes to come back in the spring of 2004.
