Green Hill Field Adding Seats

By Merimas Tussock from Dwaling
BYWATER - Bywater's PR director Podo Boffin put on a great song and dance at the formal naming of the Orchard Stadium at Green Hill Field, claiming they were the first team in the league to have 64 000 seater stadium. Actual figures for the renovation haven't been released yet but rumours put the figure at close to $30 million, Podo admits the team spent a lot of money but claims it's a good investment. "We hired some of the best eunuch builders around for this project. The foundations are rock solid, but we've build on their years of experience and managed to include a number of cutting edge innovations too; for example the pressbox contains a new anti-aliasing troll to help keep out anyone who thinks bogus press credentials can get you into the game for free. Security is a huge priority for us these days."
When asked if all those seats were really necessary Podo seemed to become agitated. "Last season tickets for our games were like gold dust with the stadium full to the rafters every game. Baseball is really taking off in Bywater, and we turned away so many fans last season that we're confident of filling all these extra seats with ease. Sure, everyone's going on about us only finishing second in the division but we were second to Wilderland for crying out loud; those guys were league champions last year! There's no disgrace in being beaten by the champs. Although that doesn't mean we want it to happen again. We're looking firmly at the silverware this year, and I don't just mean the restaurant in our hospitality suite either. Our team has carried over the cream from last year, and some of the kids we've been working on are looking ready for their breakthroughs into the majors this year. We're going into spring training confident that we can improve on last year."
