Mordor Evens All-Star Score

VALINOR - With 45,000 in attendance at the home of the Valinor Vandals, the Mordor Conference All-Stars defeated the Shire team, 9-8, to even the All-Star series at 1 win for each Conference.

The Shire jumped out to a quick lead in the bottom of the first, as Bree's Ralin Rockbinder led off the game with a shot to deep right field. After Mirkwood's Mohair Catsquisher grounded out, Iseolf Imreogorn of Wilderland put one into deep left to make the score 2-0. In the top of the second, Rivendell's Mororon Meriawyn added another homer to the Shire total, making the score 3-0.

Mordor fought back in the bottom of the second, as Mordor Mimes center fielder Thaira Lomebrildur doubled and scored on a single by Grey Havens' Grukak Dwarfcrawler. With 2 out, pinch hitter Mugor Ghoulslobberer of Dunharrow singled, sending Dwarfcrawler to second. Numenor's Theo Nering plated Dwarfcrawler with a single down the third base line. Finally, Arweowyn Belawen of Grey Havens singled home Ghoulslobberer.

In the bottom of the third, Mordor pulled ahead on a 3-run homer by Rohan catcher Rafur Rockback, making it 6-3. But the Shire came back in the top of the 4th when Lake Town's Vishnak Spearpunisher hit their 4th homer, a 2-run shot, making the score 6-5.

Iseolf Imreogorn set a new All-Star Game record by hitting his second homer in the 5th, scoring Catsquisher and making it 7-6 Shire.

Mordor pulled ahead, 8-7, in the 7th inning when Lomebrildur scored from third on a wild pitch by Bywater's Grikak Dryadpoker and a single by Misty Mountain's Kyrion Myrthar, scoring Dwarfcrawler.

Wilderland's Isilborn Imrilron launched yet another Shire homer in the top of the 8th, tying the game 8-8.

Finally, in the bottom of the 10th, Isengard's Olorin Orithil singled to center, scoring Mordor's Tavoja Legindil. Final score: 9-8, Mordor.

The winning pitcher was Dead Marshes' Guugor Earthjuggler. The loser was Saroma Radearon of Wilderland. The Player of the Game was Grukak Dwarfcrawler, who went 3-for-5 with 1 RBI and scored 3 times.
