Too Late For Greatness?

MIDDLE EARTH - It is only the second season of the SGCBL, but fans have already been pondering the question: "Who will make it to the Hall of Fame?" According to league rules, a retiring player will automatically enter the Hall if he or she meets certain minimum performance levels. For example, anyone with 3000 hits as a batter or 300 wins as a pitcher will be immediately enshrined. Additionally, certain players may make it by being voted in by 2/3 of the owners.

While it's a bit early to be predicting which players will attain the performance benchmarks, it is pretty easy to see which ones are too close to retirement to make it. These are the players that will need to rely upon the good graces of the team owners in order to claim immortality.
