Eowil-Galad Finally Signs Contract

DAGORLAD - The league's leading homerun hitter, Gamilas Eowil-Galad, finally signed a new contract with the Disaster. After playing for almost the entire season with the threat of free agency in 2005, Eowil-Galad struck a $30 million deal with the team he's helped lead to a likely Troll Division pennant. In the new contract, the left fielder will get a raise from his current $3 million annual salary to $7.5 million for 4 years.
Eowil-Galad, a 9th round draft choice in 2003, currently leads the Majors with 53 homers (a Mordor Conference record) and is first in Mordor with 126 RBI. He is tops in the Conference in slugging (.645), extra base hits (99) and total bases (362), 2nd in doubles (43) and 6th in runs scored (103). He was named to the 2004 All-Star squad and was Player of the Month in August.
