Fairies New Shire Champs!

BREE - After taking a 10-1 pounding at the hands of Gogak Drowslammer and the Cheese hitters, Bucklebury came back with some fireworks of their own, scoring 7 runs in the top of the 9th inning of Game Seven to defeat Bree and bring home the Shire Conference title. In Game Six, the Bree ace fired a complete game, striking out 6 and walking none. Meanwhile, Bree bats thundered in the 8th inning, scoring 7 runs, including a 3-run homer by rookie Throatwarbler Mangrove. Down 4-1 in the 9th inning of Game Seven, the Fairies rallied for 7 runs on 7 hits, including a 3-run double by catcher Gidur Fil-Gan to take the game 8-4. Bucklebury now faces the Numenor Kings for the SGCBL Championship.
