More Trades

MISTY MTN - The Hops acquired a couple of young hitting prospects from the Raiders in exchange for minor league pitching. In the deal, Isengard gets Fafur Beardfist, Gorin Elfplate and Vogush Spearripper, while Misty Mountain gets second baseman Eddie Cornelison and right fielder Hudash Elfprodder. Beardfist was signed to a minor league deal by Misty Mountain in 2004, appearing in 12 games at the A and AA levels. Elfplate has been in the Hops farm organization for the past 2 years, his best performance coming at the A-level Hobbiton Howlers where he was 13-3 with a 2.71 ERA in 2003. Spearripper was picked up by the Hops in 2004 and has seen action at all minor league levels. Cornelison, known as "The Conjurer", has spent 2 seasons at the A-level White Mountain Raiders where he hit over .300 with 26 or more homers both years. Elfprodder saw a few major league games in 2003, but has spent most of the past 2 seasons in the minors.

DAGORLAD - Dagorlad has traded catcher Jerry Fenner to the Hops for right fielder Dejus Celénduil. Fenner has spent the last 2 seasons at the A-level Mount Doom Maniacs, where he hit over .320 with 10 or more homers each year. "Lightning" Celénduil is a talented outfielder with a cannon arm who started out as Misty Mountain's starting right fielder in 2003, where he won the Legolas Fielder award. He was sent to AAA for most of 2004 when his bat faltered.
