Slayers trade Chiselmaker to Mirkwood

MINAS MORGUL - The Minas Morgul Slayers, continuing their push toward a younger team, traded 30-year-old relief pitcher, Gebur Chiselmaker, to the Mirkwood Marauders for a pair of 20-year-olds and next year's 3rd round draft pick. Chiselmaker, who just signed a 4-year/$4 million deal to play for the Slayers on February 27, now puts on the jersey of his 4th team in 2 seasons. He was drafted by Rivendell in 2003 and spent that season at the AAA Golden Wood Breezers. Traded from the Royals to Old Forest in 2004, he spent that season in the Merry Fellows' bullpen, compiling a 2-5 record with 3 saves and a 3.89 ERA in 41 relief appearances. In exchange for Chiselmaker, Mirkwood sent minor league third baseman Lignar Oathbane and pitcher Hofur Goldcutter to Minas Morgul.
