Graniteslinger Heads to Mirkwood

MINAS MORGUL - The youth movement for the Slayers continued today as Minas Morgul dealt slugging first baseman Valin Graniteslinger to Mirkwood for 4 young prospects. Graniteslinger has been with Minas Morgul (formerly Mordor) since 2003, but has only begun to hit his stride this season. He is currently hitting .291 with 20 HR and 42 RBI, already exceeding his totals for 2004. In exchange for the power hitter, the Marauders sent first baseman Giol Driderwalker, 21, pitchers Ruugak Knifejuggler, 20, and Areolbo Areahil, 23, and catcher Alex Armenta, 21, to Minas Morgul.
