Marauders Win It All!

NUMENOR - The Mirkwood Marauders have defeated the reigning League Champion, the Numenor Kings, 4-games-to-1 in the Return of the King Series. After taking the Game 1 at home, Mirkwood pitcher Denaigol Deneadur outdueled King hurler Prilak Hammershaker in a 1-0 showdown. When the series moved to Numenor for Game 3, the Kings came back with a 6-2 win. Game 4 was a 12-11 slugfest with the Marauders coming out on top. Finally, in Game 5, Deneadur again prevailed in a tough, 2-1 battle of pitching, and the Mirkwood Marauders became the 2005 SGCBL Champions.
