Celebrin gets 1,000th K

BYWATER - Boriam "The White Wizard" Celebrin, the Old Forest strikeout king, hit another milestone on April 18 when he fanned his 1,000th batter, becoming the first player in league history to reach that goal. He came into the game against the Bounders needing just 4 strikeouts to hit the mark. The unlucky victim was center fielder Vorzava Tinond in the 2nd inning. Not content to stop there, Celebrin went on to strike out 16 in 7 innings of work, as the Merry Fellows edged Bywater, 3-1. After striking out 14 in his next start, Celebrin finished the week at 1,026 for his career. His closest rival is teammate Ligor Fistslammer with 885.
