Fairies Trade Facedragger, Fans Outraged

BUCKLEBURY - Once the team captain and the pride of Bucklebury, Kogar Facedragger has been traded to the Mirkwood Marauders in a shocking development for Fairy fans. Facedragger, whose nickname is "Cap," was the 1st player picked by the original Lonely Mountain Losers in 2003. Since then, he went on to win every award possible--including the 2004 Aragorn MVP, 2004 Sam Gamgee Batter Award, 2 Legolas Fielder Awards in right field, 5 Batter of the Month titles, and selection to 2 All-Star Teams. He is also the holder of the single season League records in homeruns (57) and runs scored (151). Facedragger is 11th on the career hits list, 5th in HR, 7th in RBI, 9th in Walks, and 5th in Runs Scored.

Facedragger, 33, is currently under contract for over $15 million per year and becomes a free agent at the end of this season. In exchange for Facedragger and 22-year-old third base prospect, Levi Brennan, Mirkwood sends 36-year-old outfielder Myrla Elvörion. starting pitcher Sugan Stonerender, 26, and infield prospect Girith Falathion, 23.
