Cheese, Fairies Swap Stars

BREE - The Cheese have made an inter-divisional swap that sends their highly touted young outfielder and one of the league's best base stealers to Bucklebury in exchange for one of the best shortstops in the league and a young power hitting first baseman. Outfielders Minto Foxburr and Galelob Freahir, along with infielder Isseen Elarar, have been dealt to the Fairies for shortstop Kobur Hammermaker, first baseman Gandaugrin Gamaiborn and second baseman Sebastian Pacheco. Foxburr, 20, was Bree's number 1 draft pick in 2004 and was a top contender for last season's Frodo Rookie Award, hitting .342. Elarar (known as "The Flash") is 31 and was last year's Legolas Fielder at second base in the Shire Conference. In 3 seasons, he stole 160 bases and was caught only 17 times! Freahir, 25, was Bree's 2nd pick in 2004 and has spent his time learning 5 different positions in the minors. He can play all outfield positions, plus first and third base. Hammermaker, 26, is a 2-time All-Star with a career .314 average and has won a Legloas at short. Gamaiborn, 23, has a .313 career average and has hit 20+ HR three years straight. However, he was injured just last week, putting him out for the rest of this season.
