Bree's Lómebrildur, Rohan's Rockback win Player of the Week award
MIDDLE EARTH - Thaira Lómebrildur from Bree wins her 3rd Player of the Week award for putting up the best numbers this week in the Shire Conference. She hit .591 with 7 RBI and slugged 1.182 in 22 at bats. Her season features a batting average of .296 (47 hits in 159 AB), 6 doubles, one triple and 14 bombs. Lómebrildur collected 34 RBI and 37 runs as well. She's 4th in the Shire Conference in RBIs and 1st in homeruns! It's the 4th time that the Mordor Conference Player of the Week award goes to Rohan's catcher Rafur Rockback. Rafur was on fire, hitting .500 with 2 HR and 9 RBI.

Borun Celül out for full season
LAKE TOWN - Lake Town's right-hander Borun Celül will not pitch again this year, suffering a serious injury in the game against Moria on May 12. Celül was rushed to an hospital near the ballpark, where doctors took x-rays. Those revealed the serious injury, Torn Rotator Cuff Muscle. This season Celül compiled an ERA of 2.66, going 5-2 in 9 starts. He fanned 47 while giving up 52 hits in 67.2 innings. He has 3 complete games and one shutout. He's 6th in the Shire Conference in ERA and 3rd in wins!

Grey Havens' Banks severely injured
GREY HAVENS - Grey Havens' players were scared when they had to watch Anson Banks suffer a serious injury when he dove for a ball in the game against Numenor on May 15. He collapsed in pain and was helped off the field. Banks will probaby miss 11 weeks. Banks was rushed to an hospital near the ballpark, where doctors took x-rays. Those revealed the serious injury, Fractured Hip. Banks has hit for a .353 average this season. He has 11 extra base hits along with 63 total bases, resulting in a .463 slugging percentage. He's 4th in the Mordor Conference in batting!

Theodore Nazgul (DUN) will miss 5 weeks
DUNHARROW - Dunharrow's centerfielder Theodore Nazgul will miss at least 5 weeks after he got hurt seriously while running hard toward second base in a game on May 12. He began limping and then fell down, causing a scary moment for his teammates. He had to be carried off the field. Nazgul was rushed to an hospital near the ballpark, where doctors took x-rays. Those revealed the serious injury, Torn Abdominal Muscle. Theodore has gone 45 for 145 (.310) this season, hitting 3 taters and driving in 18 runs. He has scored 25 runs on his own.
