Devils sign contract extensions

Dunharrow

DUNHARROW - The Devils reached agreements with several players on new contracts, including bullpen ace Lifur Ironworker. New deals were struck with Ironworker for $5 million per year for 4 years, pitcher Vrsuurbag Swordtorturer for $1 million for 1 year, reliever Thaira Lómarariand for $3 million per year for 3 years and catcher Kimvia Elrilas for $4 million per year for 3 years. A minor league contract was offered to third baseman Rorag Knifebasher, as well.

In a surprising move, the team offered retiring first baseman Tavoja Legindil $14 million to stay with the team for 1 more year. The 38-year-old agreed to the terms of the contract, but did not guarantee that he would be back for 2007.
