"New" Owner for Wargs

Wilderland
WILDERLAND - The Wilderland Wargs announced new ownership for the second half of the 2006 season. Returning to the ranks of League owners is Ejen, formerly of Bag End. Ejen piloted the Bag End Bombers to a 76-86 4th-place finish in 2003, before retiring from the SGCBL. The Bombers went on to become the Silvan Rangers and currently the Gondolin Griffons.

Ejen picks up the reigns of a Wilderland club that is struggling under the combined weight of a poorly-performing pitching staff and a payroll that is barely below the League salary cap. Add to that the recent loss of slugger Red Bark, and Ejen has a tough road ahead. In one of his first moves, he signed a young pitcher named Rasman Treeclimber, whom he hopes to bolster the starting rotation. Treeclimber, 21, was rocked in his first outing, but coaches think this is due to rookie jitters for the youngster.
