Dryadpoker signs with Marauders

Mirkwood
MIRKWOOD - After lengthy negotiations with team owners, Grikak "Treehugger" Dryadpoker, has signed a new contract with the Marauders. At $20 million per season, the 2-time All-Star pitcher was already the 3rd highest paid player in the league. Efforts by Mirkwood to cut back on that salary after he was acquired from Bywater in a trade in June proved fruitless, and they agreed to pay the hurler the same salary for 4 more years. Grikak, 30, was the 2nd pick for the Bounders in 2003 and was the ace of their staff. On 6/20/2005 he pitched a no-hitter against Moria, one of only 7 no-hit games in league history. He is 3rd in career wins with 62 and 4th in strikeouts with 857 K's.
