Bears Deal Starter to Cheese

Carrock
CARROCK - The Bears have entered into a deal to ship their number one starter, Siltina Gléng, to the Bree Cheese. In exchange for Gléng and their 1st Draft Pick in 2007, Carrock receives starting pitchers Zuthor "Rodent" Toviel and Jerrolde "Hannibal" Rector and infielder Uujjeen "Great" Maker. Other considerations include a "player to be renamed later." Rumor has it that one of the Carrock owner's demands was that Bree rename a player "Poodlekicker" and the Cheese agreed.

Another part to this deal included Carrock signing Gléng to a new contract prior to sending her to Bree. Siltina's $3 million deal was up at the end of this season, and Bree wanted to get her free and clear into next season. Gléng, 29, agreed to a 6-year/$7 million contract with the understanding that she would be immediately traded to the Cheese. In exchange for this consideration, Bree sent minor league pitcher Huunai Ettindrinker to Carrock.

The acquisition of Gléng, who is 9-9 with a 3.18 ERA, gives Bree a third formidable starter, joining Ban Arwodur and Dejahth Anylith. Meanwhile, Carrock builds on their future, betting that Toviel will fill in as a solid starter, while Rector and Ettindrinker develop for next season. Getting Maker, as well, gives them much needed depth in the infield.
