Two Towers Series: Games 6 and 7

Mirkwood wins 2nd straight Shire Conference title
MIRKWOOD - Mirkwood, the defending league champs, are headed back to the Return of the King Series after defeating the Archers in 7 games. They led the series, 3-2, after coming home from Lake Town, but after the Archers drove a tired Deneadur from the game in the 4th, the series went to Game 7. The final game of the series was a classic pitcher's duel. Lake Town's Fadrier pitched 7.2 innings, giving up 7 hits, striking out 7, and only allowing 2 runs, but Mirkwood's Gamialf was better. He shut out the Archers on 6 hits, while striking out 8 in 8 innings to win the series for Mirkwood. The series MVP was Geadriel Gamialf, who started 3 games and won 2 of them. In those games, shut out Lake Town over 15 innings, striking out 14 Archer batters.

Rohan is new Mordor Champion
NUMENOR - The RoughRiders have felled last season's Mordor Conference champs, the Numenor Kings, in 6 games. With the score tied, 2-2, in the 6th, they scored 4 runs to win their first conference title. Genus Chiselsnapper hit his 5th HR of the playoffs in securing the victory and was named the series MVP.
