Moria announces new team logo

Moria
MORIA - The Miners unveiled their new team uniforms of crimson and gold this week at a gala event in the Halls of Khazad-dum. The new uniforms bear a relief taken directly from the door of Moria, portraying golden malorn trees against a background of flame.

"It is an attempt to instill a sense of pride and dignity in the team and in our fans," said new team owner, Brandelion of Lethargy. "The Miners have been mired in a losing streak, and it is time to end it. With the new uniforms, we have a revived sense of pride in Moria’s history; both the good, and the bad."

The new logo infuses the legends of Moria: the moon-rune enchanted door leading into the mine, which stands as a reminder of a time of peace and prosperity for the team, and the shadow and flame of the Balrog of Morgoth--a reminder of the death and destruction that once plagued the halls.

"Now that the Balrog is gone," said Brandelion, "It is time for us to build anew." Along with the new uniforms, Brandelion has plans to rebuild the stadium at Khazad-dum. Rumors of new training regimes have reached MESN, though team management refused comment at this time.

"We may have a few surprises up our sleeves," said Brandelion with a wink. "I'm not at liberty to talk about our plans, at present. But I will say this: The Miners will be mighty again. There is no doubt about it."
