Elrond Manager Awards Announced

MIDDLE EARTH - The league announced the winners of the 2006 Elrond Manager Awards today. In the Shire Conference, Gondolin's Al DiSanto wins the award for the outstanding single-season turnaround of the Griffons. Alrond took the team from their 2005 last-place finish (53-109, 48 games back) to within 1 game of winning the Hobbit Division. At 90-72, he managed a 37 game turnaround for the club! In the Mordor Conference, a similar reversal of fortune came when the Gondor Condors went from last year's 57-105 to their 2006 finish of 82-80 -- a 25-game improvement. Though he has departed the league for 2007, Mile_High_GM wins the 2006 Elrond Award.
