Nosegobbler sets hitting record
BYWATER - On April 9, Bywater's Neegar Nosegobbler broke the record for the longest hitting streak in league history when he hit in his 29th straight game, going back to last season. The old record was held by Numenor's Disil Axesmith, set in May 2005.

Disaster closer out for season!
DAGORLAD - If there's anything worse than losing your closer on Opening Day, the Disaster don't want to hear about it. Eragdush Bugbearchoker, a guy who has never known injury and who has worked 267 games in 4 seasons for Dagorlad, came out of their April 1 game with Dol Guldur with a torn rotator cuff. It looks like he will miss the rest of 2007. Bugbearchoker, 34, is currently 5th on the career saves list with 144.

Carrock's Glebrildur wins Player of the Week award
MIDDLE EARTH - Siloja Glebrildur from Carrock wins his 2nd Player of the Week award for putting up the best numbers this week in the Shire Conference. Glebrildur helped his team with an average of .462 and 10 RBI in 26 at bats. Siloja has gone 14 for 36 (.389) this season, hitting 3 bombs and driving in 10 runs. He has scored 8 runs on his own. He's 10th in the Shire Conference in batting, 4th in homeruns and 5th in RBI! Gandaudur Eowöldor from Isengard wins his 4th Player of the Week award for putting up the best numbers this week in the Mordor Conference. Gandaudur pounded opposing pitchers, hitting .423 with 5 HR and 9 RBI while slugging 1.115. Eowöldor has walked 3 times this year and posts a .432 OBP. While batting .382, 13 for 34, he has driven in 11 runs. He's 8th in the Mordor Conference in batting, 1st in homeruns and 3rd in RBI!

Legeron Iseomer turns in great performance against Gondor
ROHAN - Rohan's Legeron Iseomer overmatched the opposing hitters all day long on April 1. Gondor had no chance, collecting just 2 hits against the left-hander. 'I hit the corners with all of my pitches. That helped a lot!' Iseomer (1-0) fanned 7 and walked none, throwing 100 pitches. Wilo Toothkicker helped Iseomer at the plate, he collected 2 hits in 4 trips to the plate, blasting a homerun. Rohan improved its record to 1-0, scoring 4 runs on 7 hits.
