Imreogorn Set to Retire

WILDERLAND - The bane of Shire Conference pitching for 4 seasons and the highest paid player in the majors, Iseolf Imreogorn, has decided to hang up his cleats after this season. Despite having another year on his $165 million contract, the 2-time All Star nicknamed "Nitro" wants to go out on top of his game. In a short letter to Wargs management, he said, "The time has come. I'll leave the show after this year. I guess I will have to make room for the young players."
Imreogorn has a lifetime .317 batting average (6th best all-time), 98 HR and 392 RBI. His 759 hits is the 3rd highest total for any player. Drafted in the 1st round by Gondor in 2003, Iseolf quickly proved to be one of the best third basemen in the game, winning the Legolas Fielder Award in 2003, 2005 and 2006. In March of 2004, he jumped to the Shire when Wilderland offered him a 5-year deal that would pay $33 million per season. That same year, he had a 22-game hitting streak and wound up setting the current Shire Conference record for hits with 210.
