Lómebrildur and Armormasher win Player of the Week award
MIDDLE EARTH - It's the 4th time that the Shire Conference Player of the Week award goes to Bree's leftfielder Thaira Lómebrildur. She hit .385 with 13 RBI and slugged 1.231 in 26 at bats. She now has homered in 3 consecutive games as well! Lómebrildur has walked 8 times this year and posts a .347 OBP. While batting .295, 26 for 88, she has driven in 24 runs. She's 1st in the Shire Conference in RBIs and 1st in homeruns! Boran Armormasher from Isengard wins his 3rd Player of the Week award for putting up the best numbers this week in the Mordor Conference. Armormasher helped his team with an average of .600 and 10 RBI in 25 at bats. Armormasher has hit 2 homeruns this year while batting .400. He adds 6 doubles, along with 14 runs scored. He's 1st in the Mordor Conference in batting!

Beogast Belol fires 1-hitter against Minas Tirith
GONDOLIN - All you need to win is a dominating pitching performance. And Gondolin's Beogast Belol did so on April 20, in a 1-hit shutout against Minas Tirith. Roran Shieldmover spoiled the bid for a no-hitter when he singled with no outs in the 5th inning. Belol (2-1) fanned 5 and walked none, throwing 95 pitches. 'Hey, that's my job! Everytime I take the mound I give the best I can. And my best stuff was too much for them today.' The hitting star for Gondolin was leftfielder Denar Axecutter, he stroked 3 hits in 3 AB, homering once, doubling once, scoring two runs and collecting 3 RBI. Gondolin scored 8 runs on 10 hits.

Ulor Témir fires 2-hitter against Dead Marshes
DEAD MARSHES - Dead Marshes' bats were sleeping on April 22, and Dol Guldur's Ulor Témir gave them no chance to wake up. He gave up just 2 hits in recording his 1st shutout of the season. Témir (2-3) struck out 6 and walked 1, throwing 62 of 98 pitches for strikes. 'Things like that happen. You take the mound and everything works. My velocity was pretty good today and I guess it showed.' Gollilmer Fyrith provided Dol Guldur with the offense Témir needed as he finished with 2 hits in 5 AB, blasting a homerun, scoring 2 runs with 3 RBI. The final score of the game was 7-0.

Elfplate fans 15, sets team record
WILDERLAND - Mundin Elfplate set a new single game Rivendell Record for strikeouts with 15 K's against the Wargs. In the 11-3 victory for the Royals, Elfplate struck out all Wilderland hitters except Iseolf Imreogorn at least once. He only allowed 2 hits in 8 innings of work and walked 3 batters.

Hafur Goblincrusher hits a 485-foot homerun
CARROCK - First baseman Hafur Goblincrusher certainly crushed the baseball on April 22! His solo shot in the bottom of the 2nd inning traveled 485 feet from home plate, becoming one of the longest homers in league history.

Raiders romp over hapless Witch King pitchers
WEATHERTOP - The Isengard Raider hitters took no mercy on the Weathertop pitching staff on April 23, as they pounded out 25 hits and scored 28 runs in a crushing defeat of the Witch Kings. In the 7th inning alone, the Raiders scored 11 runs, most of the damage coming against Iseagast Imream, the Weathertop closer, who was pulled into duty in the blowout and allowed 13 runs on 10 hits and 8 walks.
