Alliance Artifact May Be In Dead Marshes

DEAD MARSHES - In an uncharacteristic move, representatives of the Fighting Uruk Hai spoke to reporters about the team's plans to dredge the Dead Marshes. The traditionally reserved franchise announced that an item of great significance to certain members of the team may be hiding within the marshes. According to team owner and general manager, Loki, the Uruk Hai are searching for a gauntlet worn during the Great Battle of the First Age that is reported to have belonged to the father of dwarves himself, Durin the Deathless. "[The gauntlet] was passed from Durin's house to the Last Alliance Army, in appreciation of their efforts before the battle. Sadly, the gauntlet was lost in battle, and has not been recovered," said Loki. "We believe the gauntlet to be hidden in the marshes, somewhere, and will spare no effort in finding it. We hope the gauntlet will bring us good luck."
Lasil Ironmaster of the Uruk-Hai is keenly interested in discovering the gauntlet on behalf of the team. "As one of the last remaining descendents of Durin himself, I feel that the gauntlet should be entrusted to a member of the bloodline--such as myself. Furthermore, as the gauntlet has dwelled within the Dead Marshes for so long now, it should remain with the Dead Marshes when found." Ace pitcher Karin Grudgesmelter publicly agreed. "Lasil's right. When we find it, it's ours to keep." Reportedly, Grudgesmelter has sponsored a few unofficial digs for the gauntlet, herself, braving the perils of the marshes by moonlight. "It's important to us," said Grudgesmelter. "It's not just a good luck charm, but a symbol of the strength of dwarven-kind."
Loki revealed that the Uruk Hai are aware of other teams interested in the gauntlet. "There is some word that other Dwarven-associated teams, such as Moria and Bucklebury, may be interested in obtaining the gauntlet for themselves, though we feel strongly that the gauntlet should remain with us." The Uruk Hai plan to open a public museum to house the artifact once it is found.
