Bucklebury: Quest for a Manager

Bucklebury
by Dia Elrubo

BUCKLEBURY - The initial plan to find a new manager after what team owner, xade, has dubbed 'The Cheese Affair', was to produce a T.V show. Not just any TV show, but the "greatest damn show" on television. Reviews of the first few episodes were great. Virgil "Stiletto" Proudfoot was a real diamond in the rough, and he held the show together. The crowd loved the Trivia. Loved the obstacle courses. Loved Stilleto. And they definitly loved the 'fight to the death' final round of every show. The idea was that by winning initial rounds, the contestants earned weapons and armour of their chosing. It was a real show stopper.

But backstage it wasn't anywhere near as rosy. Virgil's ego was growing rampant, the team started refering to him as Virgil Bighead. They were very original jokes. BigHead... that still makes me laugh... But it didn't just stop with Virgil, other starters wanted their lick of the 'Big Brass Ring'. In particular, Christof Worm seemed to feel he was entitled to it or something. And then came the hitters. Foxburr keep muttering that he was gunna be a star, Galdor tried the 'You pay me the most so I must be the most important' line, even Mandicer was roaring at me when we walked past each other in the office. It had to stop.

And it has. Virgil has been shipped off to Moria, and the show has been cancelled. "Much to the teams dismay, but more to mine. I had hoped to find a manager for the Fairies with that wacked out money making scheme... Perhaps I need to come up with something aa little more wacked out and money making...," said xade.

Maybe he should sleep on it.
