Witch Kings gamble paying dividends

WEATHERTOP - Weathertop's move to fire their entire staff at the end of June seems to have worked out well for the Witch Kings. While they haven't set the world on fire, the team is playing closer to .500 for the first time since their Wild Card playoff year in 2003. Considering their dismal 57-105 record last season, this year's 51-52 mid-season record has got to be pleasing team owner, Peat. The team leads the Mordor Conference in homers, thanks to the acquisition of players like Arweogast Belaraviel, Gorema Gollailob and Badur Belewyn during the offseason.
