Glebrildur (CAR) and Armormasher (ISE) win Player of the Week award
MIDDLE EARTH - The Shire Conference's best player of the week was Carrock's Siloja Glebrildur, who wins the award for the 4th time in his career. Siloja was on fire, hitting .450 with 3 HR and 6 RBI. Boran Armormasher from Isengard wins his 4th Player of the Week award for putting up the best numbers this week in the Mordor Conference. He had an on base percentage of .480 and hit .429, while driving in 8 runs. Armormasher has walked 88 times this year and posts a .478 OBP. While batting .349, 130 for 373, he has driven in 70 runs. He's 3rd in the Mordor Conference in batting!

Ramon Pedro dominates Bywater, gives up just one hit
BYWATER - It was a great day for Lake Town's right-hander Ramon Pedro. The 31-year old recorded his first career shutout, a 1-hitter, against Bywater on August 8. Pedro (5-11) struck out 9 and walked 4, throwing 73 of 125 pitches for strikes. 'I was hitting my spots. Now I'll start concentrating on my next start, and hopefully it will work again.' The hitting star for Lake Town was shortstop Silas Debuugger, he collected 3 hits in 6 trips to the plate, and driving in 3 runs. Lake Town scored 13 runs on 15 hits.

Old Forest's Fistslammer out for 4-5 weeks
OLD FOREST - When it rains, it pours. Old Forest's right-hander Ligor Fistslammer will not pitch for at least 4-5 weeks, handing the team a huge setback. He suffered a serious injury in a game against Rivendell on August 8 where he left the field in the 1st inning. Old Forest wasted no time and rushed him to an hospital. Team officials were informed later that Fistslammer had suffered a Inflamed Rotator Cuff Muscle. His ERA of 6.25 helped him to a 6-8 record this year. He struck out 152 and walked 63 in 116.2 innings.
