Bounders Bulletins

Bywater
BYWATER - Little has been heard of Ken Iggette recently, so it was decided that someone needed to find out what had been happening in the offices of the Bywater Bounders. Some had been worrying that Sir Ken had run afoul of some miscreant. There have been rumours than relations with the Bounders' owner were strained, and he hadn't been heard of since the Bounders traded with Moria back when BranMorda was causing ripples in the league. Luckily, Sir Ken is still reachable by mortals and was available for a chat when contacted, so just why had he been so quiet?

"It's great to know that there are people out there worrying about me but I've just been working pretty hard recently. Kevin asked me to take on a lot of his team responsibilities while he did those concerts and I just couldn't say no really. He's starting to get involved again so I'm passing a lot of that stuff back to him now."

Of course, Kevin's Koncerts! Few have failed to hear of the massive charity tour the Bounders' owner arranged recently. With the help of Mage Perigool 3rd and musical performances by an assortment of top music acts like crooner Elessar Elensar and the anatomically intriguing Berylla Sandydowns much money was raised for an assortment of charities; not forgetting the joy given to the underprivileged kids given free tickets to the shows. It's not surprising Sir Ken had to take on some extra work to help out, but why has it taken Kevin so long to return to his job?

"Aaah, well that's simple - Kevin was off sick. At first we just put it down to him over doing it at that massive end of tour party. By the end of the tour he'd been feeling a bit rundown, so if he'd hit the draught a little hard who could've blamed him? But when he didn't recover we started to worry. We got a witch-doctor in to check for traces of cheese, we had a shaman protect him from any curses put on him, a wizard to clean his body of poisons, the works. No good though, he didn't get any better at all. It turns out he was just ill. Something called The Lurgy. Never heard of it before personally but that's what he had. Someone found some potions and lotions which seem to be helping him a lot."

And so it seems that in Bywater a puzzle can be solved by a mystery, a mystery illness that is. With Kevin making a recovery and Sir Ken happy to be doing his own job again the staff certainly seem happy. Maybe even the fans will be happy to accept the team's recent bad run once they know more, or maybe not.
