League Attendance Down

MIDDLE EARTH - Reporters from Misty Mountain have compiled some attendance figures for the 2007 season, and it doesn't look good. Overall, league attendance was down a total of 12,128,313 over 2006. League officials believe it has something to do with the rise of Celebrity Poker -- the Nazgul Edition. Others fear it is the result of the Bree Cheese Murder scare.

Mirkwood averaged the best growth overall in the league, averaging roughly 3,012 more fans per home game this year than last, for a grand total of 4,294,614 fans. Lake Town posted gains of 1,449 per game, Bree gained 464 per game, while Numenor gained a whopping 8 per game over last season.

Every other team lost fans this season. Grey Havens lost 17 per game, Rivendell 268, Misty Mountain 514, while Wilderland was the biggest loser, dropping 17,222 fans per game this year.

Weathertop, however, brought up the rear in attendance, with 704,408 fans for the season, or 8,696 per game.

Mirkwood managed to put 53,019 fans in the seats every game. Staggering.
