Dragons and Cheese Make First Deal of 2008
DOL GULDUR - The first trade of the 2008 season was made today, as the Dragons sent their All-Star left fielder, Gollilmer Fyrith, to the Bree Cheese in exchange for a pair of multi-talented fielders. While somewhat lacking in glove skills, Fyrith, 23, has the potential to be a star hitter and will probably be used in the Shire Conference as a DH. Last season, he hit .363 with 18 HR in just 40 games at the AAA Greenleaves Giants.
Going to Dol Guldur are third baseman Pruugor Hearteater and outfielder Buurk "Snake" Badgerhater. Hearteater hit .288 for Bree last season and can play all infield positions and right field. Badgerhater plays all outfield positions, plus first base.
Dragons GM Buys Rohan
ROHAN - Jools, the GM for Linkmeister's Dol Guldur Dragons, has announced that he has purchased the Rohan RoughRiders from the league. The abandoned team has been under league control since early 2007. After getting his feet wet with the Dragons club, Jools has decided to move on to his own squad.
