Isengard, Rohan Make Trade
ISENGARD - The new owner of the RoughRiders wasted no time in pulling the trigger on a deal with Isengard that sends 2 pitchers to the Raiders in exchange for a pair of hot young hitters. In the deal, Isengard shores up its weak area--pitching--by getting Wonai Trollprodder and Ariel Villla, along with second baseman, Flordor Earambor, in exchange for infielders Thudor Nadrierion and Fosco Bramble.
Trollprodder, 32, has been a solid starter for Rohan the past 5 seasons, compiling a 66-47 record with a 3.62 ERA and 990 strikeouts. He was 16-7 with a 3.38 ERA last year, fanned 230 batters, and lead the Mordor Conference with 5 complete games. Villa, 24, is a reliever who has kicked around the Rohan minor leagues for the past 5 seasons. Isengard management hopes he's just about ready to make it into the big leagues. Earambor, 31, hit .319 with 11 HR for Rohan in 2007 and is a steady second baseman. He will be used to replace Nadrierion in the infield.
Meanwhile, Rohan gets Nadrierion, 26, a veteran of 4 seasons. "The Admiral" hit .300 last season with 31 HR and 120 RBI, also winning the Legolas Fielder award at second. He was an All-Star in 2006. Bramble was Isengard's 1st round draft pick in 2004 and has been knocking the cover off the ball in the minors. Last season, he hit 67 homers for the Fangorn Ents, a new AAA record!
