Legithraviel Shipped to Moria

MISTY MTN - The Hops have sent pitcher Tavus Legithraviel and his $12 million salary to Moria in exchange for the Miners' first round draft pick next season. Legithraviel, 30, is a 2-time All-Star who has nevertheless been a problematic starter for various teams over the years. He acquired the nickname "Choker" for his poor performances in the playoffs (1-5 with a 5.11 ERA in 3 different trips to the postseason). Tavus was the 4th pick for Rivendell in 2003 and represented the Royals in the 2004 All-Star Game. In 2005, he signed a lengthy $12 million/year deal with Old Forest, helping them make the playoffs in 2006. The Hops got him in a trade last season that also brought Isilborn Imrilron to the Mordor Conference. Legithraviel is 9th on the all-time list in wins (88), 15th in strikeouts (1110), 10th in complete games (23) and 14th in shutouts (7). There is no word on whether Queen Brandelion will attempt to extend his contract past its end at the conclusion of 2008.
