Miners Deal Legithraviel to Rohan

MORIA - In a quick move by Miners owner, Queen Brandelion of Lethargy, Moria has traded newly acquired pitcher Tavus Legithraviel to Rohan in exchange for relievers Kimra Elràlith and Prarg Halflingslobbr. Earlier, she had puzzled pundits scratching their heads at her giving up a 1st round draft pick to Misty Mountain for an older pitcher in the final year of his $12 million annual contract. Considering that Moria is 32 games behind Bucklebury and not in contention for the playoffs, it was expected that the Miners would seek younger talent.

As it turns out, the self-titled "Queen of Baseball Revenge" had something more up her sleeves. She traded Legithraviel to Rohan, who hopes to use him to gain ground in the Mordor Wild Card race, and gets a young pitcher in Halflingslobber and (more importantly) a bit of vengeance in the return of Elràlith. Kimra spurned Moria's offers when her contract ran out at the end of 2007, signing a 4-year deal with Minas Morgul instead. The Slayers traded the right-hander to Rohan in May. Queen Bran was said to be "very well pleased" to have another 3-and-a-half seasons of Kimra's servitude, as her laughter could be heard echoing off the walls of Khazad-dum.
