Raiders re-sign Armormasher

ISENGARD - News from the Raider headquarters has team owner, Lico, pulling off a minor miracle. In trouble with the salary cap, she released a few minor players, but was still facing the possibility of losing two key stars to free agency at the end of the season. All-star shortstop, Golloron Galadrienduil, earlier agreed to stay with the team, taking a $3 million pay cut, and today catcher Boran Armormasher signed a new contract for $1.5 million per year less than his current salary, agreeing to a $16.5 million annual salary for the next 3 seasons.

Armormasher, 31, is one of the premier players in the game. He has made the All-Star squad for Mordor every season since the league started. He was the 2nd pick for Isengard in the initial draft in 2003 and has caught 791 games for the Raiders in 5+ seasons. His career numbers put him 6th in batting average (.319), 10th in walks (549) and 14th in doubles (187). He led the league in OBP last season with a .460 average. This season, he is 3rd in OBP and in walks for Mordor, hitting .284 with 10 HR and 49 RBI.
