BUCKLEBURY - In just his second week of Major league Baseball, Sobur Stonearm, the dwarf from the Dominican Republic (I think that is out east somewhere) has managed to pull off a fantastic week. Firstly, Sobur played third base. Batting at .500, not only did he score the tying run, but he stole his first base. Ever. This isn't too bad when you consider that a few games later, Sobur was back in the fray. This time it was pitching 4 innings, giving up no runs and getting his first win. What a week for this "mop-up" reliever.
When asked about his week, Sobur had the following to say. "Well, you know Ken, I was a little worried about heading out to third base, but I just keep reminding myself of what Vrsong told me. "Roawrahahwaaarr". And I knew I would do alright. Taking over for the injured Fabur was like a dream come true. I mean, I've looked up to that guy for years now and to come out and step into his [Fabur's] shoes, and do a great job, you know, it's better than Grey fairie dust."
Not that Sobur is condoning the use of Grey fairie dust... But it does leave this reporter wondering. Will Sobur step into the injured Fabur's shoes, or will the Great Hope, xade's "Prodigal son", Issth, start his first game for the year and perhaps more importantly, why does Haleaman Grewyn still have 5 weeks left to recover? Shouldn't he just write the season off? the Bucklebury mages a obviously never going to figure this curse out. Which is a shame because it seems to be spreading. And why does Rohtog Sandstomper have an ERA of 7.56 while having 6 straight decisions go in his favor? And even more importantly, Why did Sobur refer to me as Ken?
