Rivendell's Boraulf earns Gandalf Pitcher Award

MIDDLE EARTH - Boreathor Boraulf will never forget this year. His dominating season convinced the Shire Conference to name Rivendell's left-hander the Gandalf Pitcher Award winner of 2008. Boreathor has a record of 23-9 this season, with an ERA of 2.53. In 302 Innings he was able to strike out 279 batters. Boreathor has pitched 5 shutouts and 9 complete games. He's 1st in the Shire Conference in ERA and 1st in wins! Boraulf wins the award for the 4th time in his 13-year career.

The Mordor Conference Gandalf Pitcher Award winner was announced today as well, with Numenor's right-hander Prilak Hammershaker taking home the desired trophy. He certainly earned it, he struck fear into hitters all year long. In 41 starts this year Prilak struck out 255 batters in 289.2 innings of work. His ERA is 2.08, his record 25-5. Prilak has pitched 4 shutouts and 6 complete games. He's 1st in the Mordor Conference in ERA and 1st in wins! Hammershaker wins the award for the 3rd time in his 6-year career.
