Iseomer Knighted by Rohan
ROHAN - ‘All hail Sir Iseomer!’ it sounded from the Golden Hall at Edoras across the ever green plains of Rohan after Legeron Iseomer was knighted Ridder of the Mark by King Jools (also known as King Droolius the First, Knight Protector of the Queen of Lethargy, Mistress of Moria). ‘Here the legend ends,’ a visibly emotional Sir Iseomer said with a deep sigh during his acceptance speech. ‘From now on I will live as an ordinary man among you.’
During his 17 year career in Majors, Sir Legeron collected 1 Gandalf Pitcher award, 3 All Star appearances, and 7 1st Pitching Leaders listings in Mordor Conference for ERA (2), WHIP, K’s, CG (2) and SHO, and currently he is listed in the Career Leader stats as 20th for Wins, 4th for K’s, 3rd for CG and 6th for SHO.
After the ceremony the assembled notables, team mates and crowd toasted profoundly on the occassion, except for Rohan players The Sling and Mulder, the two most notorious members of a binge party reported about earlier http://solonor.com/baseball/archives/004010.html , who were seen sipping a healthy glass of Elvian water. The Sling has been denied all alcoholic beverages, especially beer since local taverns started running out of stock, and her team mate Mulder has agreed to get treatment in the famous Houses of Healing of Minas Tirith. The result so far is that both are back in Majors - The Sling like nothing ever happened and even stronger than ever, and Mulder still a bit shaky. Their revelling companion Fosco Bramble has been traded to Dunharrow, and with his departure Rohan management is confident this black episode in the Rider’s history is over.
Meanwhile, Sir Iseomer intends to first spend some time with his family now, but he might be back as a coach or trainer for Rohan in the future. And the latest news from the League is that he may be under late consideration for entrance to the Hall of Fame.
