Uruk-hai snag first free agent
DEAD MARSHES - In the twilight of his career, Ardaah "Mud Ugly" Anàldor, 35, has signed a short-term deal with Dead Marshes for $2 million. He is the first player to agree to terms in this 2009 off-season. Ardaah was the 7th pick of Cirith Ungol (now Minas Tirith) in the 2003 startup draft. He led the league in WHIP that year and the next and was named to the Shire All-Star Team in 2004. He signed with Dead Marshes in 2005 and spent the next few seasons in the Uruk-hai rotation before being traded to Old Forest last season. His career record is 76-44 with a 3.78 ERA.
