Devils sign pitchers
DUNHARROW - The Dunharrow Devils picked up a couple of pitchers in the off-season. Starter Celomer Eäril-Gamir and reliever Holir Goldrender each signed a contract of $5 million per year for 3 years. Eäril-Gamir, 29, spent most of last season at Rohan's AAA Vale Stallions club, going 12-9 in 26 starts with a 3.08 ERA and 267 strikeouts. He was drafted by Valinor (now Weathertop) in the 2nd round in 2003 and was a respectable starter for several years. However, a disastrous 2006 in which he lost 25 games led to his acquisition on a minor league contract to Rohan last year. Goldrender, 33, was the 32nd pick for Gondor (now Lothlorien) in 2003 and spent the next 6 seasons in the Condor bullpen. His best year was 2006 when he racked up 41 saves to lead the Mordor Conference.
