Archers sign Elfbelly

LAKE TOWN - Free agent pitcher Hidush Elfbelly has been signed to a contract of $550,000 per year for 1 year by the Lake Town Archers. Elfbelly, 38, is still going strong in spite of his age. "Hi-jinx" was Mirkwood's 5th pick in 2003 and had 2 solid seasons in the Marauder starting rotation before being traded to Wilderland in 2005. Since then, he has signed a series of 1-year deals with Old Forest, Rivendell, and now Lake Town. He worked out of the bullpen with the Royals last season, earning a 4-2 mark with 2 saves and a 3.94 ERA in 47 games.
