Marauders trade Gamialf for prospect

MIRKWOOD - Mirkwood sent All-Star hurler, Geadriel "Dark Light" Gamialf, to Lake Town in a player swap that gives the Archers a veteran starting pitcher and the Marauders a hot young centerfielder. Gamialf, 33, was a 23rd round pick for Grey Havens in 2003 and was signed by Mirkwood in 2004. He pitched a no-hitter that season and was named to the All-Star squad in 2005. Geadriel has been instrumental in Marauder playoff victories, racking up 7 between 2005 and 2008. His career record is 85-50 with a 3.66 ERA and 965 strikeouts. In exchange, Lake Town sends their 4th round draft pick from 2005, Albert Beckford to Mirkwood. Beckford, 24, spent the last 2 seasons at the Archers' AA affiliate, the Long Lake Waves.
