Lómebrildur Elected to Hall of Fame

MIDDLE EARTH - Thaira "Goldie" Lómebrildur became the first inductee into the SGCBL Hall of Fame. She was overwhelmingly elected on the first ballot, garnering 93 percent of the vote. Lómebrildur, who retired during this past off-season, finished her career with a .312 average, 186 HR and 550 RBI. She won the Mordor Conference MVP award in 2003, hitting .320 with 46 HR and 114 RBI, then in 2005 she won it in the Shire Conference, hitting .326 with 44 HR and 142 RBI. That same year, she won the Shire's Sam Gamgee Batter award. She appeared in 4 All-Star Games for the Mordor Mimes and the Bree Cheese. She was the 1st pick for Mordor in 2003, becoming the 3rd player selected for the league.

Lómebrildur was the only player to make the 75 percent vote total required to be elected. Legeron Iseomer failed in his bid to make it on the 1st ballot by 4 percent, getting 71 percent of the votes cast.

Here are the vote totals: Thaira Lómebrildur - 93%, Legeron Iseomer - 71%, Denamir Eärindel - 57%, Elrilmer Elriawyn - 43%, Gogak Drowslammer - 29%, Iseolf Imreogorn - 29%, Vsuurbag Swordtorturer - 29%, Thutai Säriand - 21%, Arigol Anorŕ - 7%, Iseagast Imream - 7%, Phantina Föriand - 0%.

Säriand, Anorŕ, Imream and Föriand did not receive enough votes to remain on the ballot.
