Pimth Gäldor pounds three dingers
GONDOLIN - Hitting a homerun is fine, but hitting three of them in one game is something special. Bucklebury's leftfielder Pimth Gäldor accomplished that feat in a 7-5 win over Gondolin on April 20. In the 1st inning he unloaded a solo homerun off Dogush Bonedragger. A pitch from Dogush Bonedragger in the 4th inning left his bat for a solo homerun, landing 373 feet from home plate in left field. That one tied it at 2 runs apiece. Number 3 in the 8th inning, a shot estimated at 342 feet, cleared the wall in left field. The game was tied, 5-5, after the blast. Pimth collected 3 hits in 4 trips to the plate, scoring three times and driving in 5 runs. In 3343 career at bats, he has hit 204 homeruns and collected 610 RBI. On 4/16/2009, Hafur Goblincrusher was the last player to hit 3 dingers in a single game.
