Rafur Rockback ropes four hits, completes cycle
MINAS TIRITH - Rafur Rockback hits 'em where they ain't. Minas Tirith certainly agrees as Gondolin's catcher unloaded four hits and hitting for the cycle on May 3. A single in the 1st off Reaver *Elfheim accounted for his 1st hit. His 2nd hit was a triple off Reaver *Elfheim in the 3rd inning. His 3rd hit, a two-run homerun off Marlon Ochs in the 3rd inning, cleared the fence in center field. In the 5th inning he belted a double off Marlon Ochs. That drive completed the cycle, causing a smile on his face! Rafur did drive in 3 while scoring 3 runs on his own. He now has a total of 25 hits this season, accounting for a .245 batting average. He becomes the 20th player in league history collect at least a single, double, triple and a homerun in a single game. On 4/18/2009, Kobur Hammermaker was the last player to hit for the cycle.
