Rockmaster traded to Old Forest

DUNHARROW - Second baseman, Relin Rockmaster, was sent to the Old Forest Merry Fellows for veteran outfielder, Higor Elfdrinker, and a pair of minor leaguers after contract talks with the young infielder came to a halt. Rockmaster, 25, whose contract is up at the end of this season, would not entertain any more offers from the Devils, preferring to seek out a "winning team." Almost immediately, Dunharrow ownership began shopping him around to other teams and jumped at the first offer from the Merry Fellows.

Rockmaster was the 1st pick of the Devils in 2004 and became their starting second baseman the following year. After a shaky start, he has hit in the .270's the last 4 seasons and routinely steals 20-30 bases a year. Elfdrinker, 35, was the first member of the Dead Marshes club, as their 1st pick in 2003. He is a 2-time All-Star and won a Legolas in LF in 2005. His career average is .289, and he has 170 HR and 631 RBI. Also included in the deal were pitchers Skaiuk the Crazy and Arturo Leiva.
